Health and Dental Coordinator (1 Position)
Reports to: General Manager and Executive Director of Finance
Position Type: Part-time (up to 5 hours/per week, per-semester basis)
Start Date: May 1st 2026.
Rate of Pay: Current Memorial University Graduate rate of pay.
Location: GSU Office, Feild Hall 2nd Floor, 216 Prince Philip Drive St. John’s, NL.

Tentative date of Interview: April 29th 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain in person office hours at least 2 days in a week
Handle queries related to opt-out/opt-ins of individuals, couples, and families.
After the opt-out period closes, make sure the process is finalized and ensure fee reversals are processed for eligible students.
Maintain a list of all students who are refunded or terminated.
Handle general opt-out issues.
Address issues and queries related to student opt-outs.
Compile a list of all opt-ins in a spreadsheet for submission to Green Shield once the opt-in period ends.
Document frequently asked questions and other opt-in related issues.
Confirm students’ active status with Green Shield, if needed.
Respond to general queries related to opt-ins/outs.
Assist in preparing an FAQ or information sheet for the website.
Track the time period of opt-ins/outs.
Provide links for processing opt-ins/outs.
Support with other general insurance-related queries.
Assist the Executive Assistant with complex health and dental inquiries or by sharing the workload.
Contribute to any additional responsibilities as assigned by the ED of Finance or the General Manager, as needed.

Executive Assistant (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain regular in-person office hours.
Handle queries received through the Executive Assistant’s email.
Discuss relevant issues with the appropriate Executive Director and forward related emails accordingly.
Maintain office operations and stationery inventory in coordination with the General Manager and the Executive Director of Finance.
Assist the Health and Dental Coordinator in responding to insurance-related queries.
Support the organization and delivery of various events.
Assist the Executive Director of Finance with operational transactions.
Support accounting-related tasks in collaboration with the General Manager and the Executive Director of Finance.
Provide assistance to Executive Directors as needed.
Respond to general inquiries received through the GSU general email.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned when required.
A student from the Faculty of Business would be considered an asset.
