Feild Hall: On-Campus Living

(Please be aware that the wait for a room in Feild Hall may be over a year long)

The Graduate Students' Union operates student housing on the third and fourth floors of Feild Hall. It is the only residence on campus designated exclusively for graduate students.

Each residence floor contains 16 single, fully furnished rooms and the GSU endeavors that residence fees remain affordable. Residents share the kitchen, bathrooms, washrooms, and common TV room on each floor. Feild Hall provides an excellent combination of active social interactions while maintaining personal privacy. Laundry facilities are available in the basement of the building. Feild Hall is a non-smoking residence.

Residence fees are $425 per month with utilities included and the one-time security deposit is $225. The maximun stay at Feild Hall is two years.

The only method to submit the residence application is online. In order to submit a residence application online, please click here

Residence applications are only valid for one year (12 months) and will expire exactly one year after you apply. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are active on the wait list if it has expired.

Please read the following before contacting / sending an inquiry to the Feild Hall Residence Coordinator's office:

We have a waiting list system in place, when we receive your application, you are automatically added to the waiting list. When a room becomes available, an email is sent to check the availability of all the people on the waiting list who have requested to have a room around that period. The receipents of this email have a deadline to respond, which is included in that email. If multiple positive responses are received, then a waiting list based on who applied first and who is available is created, and then the room is offered to the application who is on top of this waiting list.

Therefore, your waiting list number is important, however, may not be that important because it all depends upon when a room becomes available and how many people above you on the waiting list are available to move in that time.

We encourage all the applicants to check the below section of the page once in a while to make themselves aware of any updates relevant to their application.
