2010 Excellence in Community Service Winner: Lynda Daneliuk

Lynda Daneliuk is a Folklore Studies student who is committing a little academic suicide by completing all her degrees at MUN. Arriving from Vancouver, BC in 2003, she finished her BA, double majoring in Folklore and English, and then continued on to her MA degree in Folklore Studies. Realizing that she was now caught in the Folklore web, she began her PhD in the discipline in Fall 2008. Next fall, Lynda will be heading to New Orleans to take as many creepy ghost, voodoo and cemetery tours as possible for her thesis fieldwork, and is hoping not to be eaten by alligators.
