I would like to welcome you all to the 2010-2011 year here at Memorial University, along

with the rest of the fellow executive members.  We are all excited to get this new year rolling and I am looking forward to this opportunity of being your new VP finance.

This year is shaping up to be an important one for the graduate student community as a whole. I want to continue to work on keeping up valuable communication between the student body, the GSU executive, academic departments and the SGS and strive to develop an organic and constructive dialogue pertaining to, among others, university budgetary concerns.  In order to realize this goal I want to gather input from students and use your questions and comments to move forward and shape how we will operate.

Student input will also be invaluable in order to keep the Finance and Health/Dental committees focused on initiatives and values important to students as a whole.  Involvement from you guys in committees such as these and other GSU event/activities will be vital in making sure that this upcoming year with be the best it can possibly be.
