Campaigns Committee

The Campaigns Committee is responsible for developing campaigns that further the goal of achieving fully accessible, high quality post-secondary education. The Committee organises activities that pressure university and government decision makers to enact changes that will benefit students. The Committee is a joint committee of the Graduate Students’ Union and the MUN Students’ Union and is open to all members.

The Committee has successfully organised campaigns in support of reducing tuition fees and improving student financial assistance. Last year, the Committee organised a major campaign to raise awareness of student issues in the federal election, including canvassing thousands of houses in the city, staffing information tables across campus, providing a vote-day shuttle service, assisting students with voting by special ballot, and holding an all-candidates' forum on campus.
